Working hard is a concept, but how you work hard depends on what you put into it. You can work really hard, keep your head down, and never look up to see the bigger picture. But you also have to socialize. You need to engage in the spaces where you work. It’s important to be seen in the way that you see yourself, and that happens most when you socialize and do the things you truly believe in.
Look for opportunities to connect with organizations and find spaces where people share the same values and goals as you. Doing so will make your time in NYC a little easier and more rewarding.
